- Where your information comes from
Most of it comes from you directly. Some comes automatically from your device when you browse, as described in section 6. If you reach us by clicking an advert, the advertising platform may tell us which campaign brought you.
- Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information.
Shopify Inc. — hosts our online store and processes our orders and payments. Royal Mail — delivers your order. They receive your name, address and, if you provide it, your phone number or email for delivery notifications. Judge.me — collects and displays product reviews. They receive your name, email address and order details so they can invite you to review. Meta Platforms Inc. — receives event data about your visit and purchases so we can measure and target our advertising, where you have consented. Microsoft Corporation — provides Microsoft Clarity, which records how you use our site, as described in section 6. Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal — process payments where you choose to use them, under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Cookies, analytics and session recording
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for three purposes.
Essential cookies keep the site working — remembering your basket, keeping you signed in and securing checkout. These are always on, because the site cannot function without them.
Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used. This includes Microsoft Clarity, which records your interactions with our pages — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and navigation — and lets us replay those sessions and view them as heatmaps. Clarity masks text you type into form fields by default. We use this to find where people get stuck, not to identify individuals.
Advertising cookies let us measure which of our adverts lead to purchases, and show relevant adverts to people who have visited us. This includes the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API, which sends purchase and page-view events to Meta from our server as well as from your browser.
Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies and choosing again, and you can block cookies entirely in your browser settings, though the site may not work properly if you block essential ones.
- Sending information outside the UK
Some of the companies in section 5 are based outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States and Canada. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on either UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.
- How long we keep it
Order records, including your name, address and what you bought: seven years from the end of the tax year in which you ordered, because HMRC requires it.
Customer support and warranty correspondence: three years from the last contact, or seven years if it relates to an order.
Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe, and then a minimal record of your unsubscribe so we do not email you again by mistake.
Website analytics and advertising data: as set by the providers named in section 5, typically no more than 26 months.
- Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, where we do not have to keep it for legal reasons
- Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
- Ask us to send your information to another provider in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is our lawful basis
- Object to direct marketing at any time, which we will always action
To exercise any of these, email . We will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we do not disclose your information to someone else.
- Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at and we will try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator:
